Wedding Questions & Answers

What is included in my wedding photography service?

Attendance, unlimited photographs taken on the day. With full photographic coverage, we take different styles of photographs. You can choose your favourite photographs to be placed in the album of your choice which is described in your chosen package. We can design a package that is tailored to meet your exact requirements.

Are there any hidden costs?

No, at time of booking the amount stated will not increase. The £150 booking fee is also deducted from your balance.

Is there a limit to how many photographs you take at my wedding?

There are no limits!

Do you offer black and white wedding photographs?

Yes, you can choose any photograph in colour, black and white or sepia - the choice is yours.

How will our photographs be printed?

All your wedding photographs will be printed by a professional laboratory. We do not use inkjet printers for any of your prints.

When will the proofs be ready?

They will be available a week after the wedding day. You (friends and family, too!) can view them on our website. If you agree, I put all your photographs on the internet, which can be password protected. You can even view your photographs on your honeymoon! If you had any distant friends or relatives that couldn’t make the wedding they too can view your wedding photographs online.

How long is the wedding photographer present at the wedding?

This depends on which package you choose. This can be just coverage at the church or the full day.

What makes AD-Photographics different from other photographers?

We take a mixture of styles candid, reportage, romantic and classic traditional photography. If there are any special photographs you would like taken just let us know. I believe that women have an eye for detail, as I women I know how you would like your dress to look. I will adjust it accordingly. We offer a truly customer focused photographic service, working with the bride and groom to achieve a stunning and creative wedding album. If you would like, I can set up my mobile studio in the evening for guests to have their photograph taken.

Can I view some of your previous wedding photography work?

Yes, you can view some my previous weddings online. Just contact us to make a convenient appointment to see us and our work.

Do I get to meet you before the wedding?

Yes we offer a pre-wedding consultation where we will take a brief outline of the day and take down the names of the important people involved in your special day.  We also visit your venues before your special day, to look for the picturesque locations for your photographs to be taken.

What happens if it rains?

I keep backgrounds and studio lights in my car as well as a host of other equipment. I am able to take your photographs whatever the weather throws at me.
With Church/Venue Weddings I cover from the Brides house through to the reception for a mock cutting of the cake thus I am with you all day.
For Register Office Weddings I will endeavour to take photographs in bad weather although it may not be possible to take all of the pictures.

What other wedding photography products do you offer?

We have an extensive range of parent albums, portfolios, framed photographs in a wide selection of finishes, i.e. canvas and metallic. We also offer an engagement sitting or pre-wedding shoot, which is an informal session in the comfort of your own home, outside in your garden or location of your choice. This is a great opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to gain invaluable experience being photographed by a professional photographer. A CD/DVD is available containing all the photographs taken on your wedding day, they are presented in a slide show format with background music of your choice.

How much does it cost?

Our packages start from our Bronze Package £300 to our Diamond Plus Package £1500. We can also personalise our service to suit your requirements.

Will I get to view my album before it goes to print?

We have just purchased new software, we can compile your wedding album, page by page with you on screen, enabling you to see exactly how your wedding album will look before it goes to print.

What happens if we want to cancel our booking?

The first thing we require is a letter / email confirming that the booking is to be cancelled. The booking deposit is non-refundable.

Can we change the date of our booking?

Yes, subject to availability. To transfer your booking we require written confirmation and a non-refundable transfer fee of £30 to cover administration costs.
